It’s hard to believe June is here! If you’re like me, it’s great to have the sun out in the late evening hours. It’s perfect for those evening walks “out and about” in the neighborhood or on the local trails. 😉 

In this week’s edition, we have details about this month’s Fairfax Funky Flea, the Fil-Am Spring Fest at the Fair Oaks Mall, and a pair of events at the Dulles Expo Center. For the wine lovers among us, the Bull Run Wine Festival is set for this weekend.

We also have plenty of great concerts and live performances on tap this weekend, including The Avett Brothers at Wolf Trap and the Fairfax Symphony at George Mason University.

  • Fil-Am Spring Fest at Fair Oaks Mall

    • Spring Fest 2025, the annual celebration of Filipino-American culture, comes to the Fair Oaks Mall on Saturday, May 31. Enjoy Filipino food, music, live performances, and plenty of cultural heritage celebration from 9:00a.m.-4:00p.m. Admission is free. The event will be held in the parking lot near Macy’s Furniture.

  • Big Lick Comic Con at Dulles Expo Center

    • The Big Lick Comic Con comes to the Dulles Expo Center for two-days of fun and laughs, Saturday, May 31 and Sunday, June 1. Check out exhibits and vendors, the massive display of comics and toys, and much more. Times and tickets can be found in the link above.

  • Summer Euphoria 2025 at the Dulles Expo Center

    • Looking for something vintage? The Dulles Expo Center may have what you’re looking for this weekend with the Summer Euphoria 2025, a one-stop shop for plenty of throwbacks and items of days gone by. The event runs Sunday, June 1 from 11:00a.m.-6:00p.m.

  • Nature Kayaking at Lake Fairfax

    • Enjoy a day on the lake and learn about the aquatic life that call Lake Fairfax their home. The fun runs Saturday, May 31 at 9:00a.m. Ages 12+, tickets are $43, and single kayaks will be provided.

  • Fairfax Funky Flea

    • It’s back! The Fairfax Funky Flea is scheduled for Saturday, May 31 from 9:00a.m.-3:00p.m. Check out 70+ vendors in an outdoor flea market-style setting. Runs the last Saturday of every month through December.

  • Bingo Night at Vienna Volunteer Fire Department

    • Sunday, June 1 kicks off a new month of bingo at the Vienna Volunteer Fire Department. The event, held every Sunday, serves as a key fundraiser for the department. Games begin at 6:00p.m.

  • Bull Run Wine Festival

    • The Winery at Bull Run is hosting The Bull Run Wine Festival on Saturday, May 31 and Sunday, June 1. Enjoy wine tastings from some of Virginia’s top wineries, food trucks, live music, and shop the vendor market. Tickets: $45 per person. The fun runs 12:00p.m.-5:00p.m.

  • Bags & Brews Cornhole Tournament

    • Fair Winds Brewing Company in Lorton is hosting a Bags & Brews Cornhole Tournament on Thursday, May 29 at 5:30p.m. The event is hosted by Old Man Sports Club. Registration is free. Win prizes and, of course, bragging rights.

  • Jokes on Tap: Free Comedy Night at Port City Brewing Co.

  • 19th Annual Inova Children’s StarKid 5K & Family Fun Run

  • Book Sale at the Tysons-Pimmit Regional Library

    • We’ve heard from some of you that you like book sales, so we wanted to make sure we included this one even though it’s not in the “Things To Do” section (which is pretty packed this week). On Saturday, May 31, and Sunday, June 1, the Tysons Library Friends will hold their quarterly book and media sale from 10:00a.m.-5:00p.m. each day. Proceeds benefit the Tysons-Pimmit Regional Library.
