Hey gang, Matt here!
Hopefully you have been able to enjoy some of the snow. The last few days have been good to stay at home if you can… a little less “Out & About” and more “In & Around” thanks to ol’ Mother Nature.
Last week’s Poll Question shows a plurality of you enjoyed the snow, but winter isn’t everyone’s cup of tea. Let’s peek at the results.
Last week’s question: “Are you excited for the big snowfall that is forecasted for this weekend?”

For this week’s Poll Question, talks are brewing once again about a proposed casino in Tysons. We want to know what you think:

Fairfax County Fun Fact of the Week
Did you know: Fairfax County is home to a true “ghost town” called “Matildaville,” which was located outside present-day Great Falls.

Before We Go, Some Good News!
For this week’s Good News, we go the Fairfax County Animal Shelter!
The team at the animal shelter recently helped to reunite a Maryland family with their dog, Chase, who found himself far from home — all the way into our area! Perhaps the biggest twist in the story: Chase was missing for three years. That was, until Chase caught running around a construction site in Fairfax County. He was then brought to the shelter, where the staff was able to use the dog’s microchip to determine and contact the owner. Read the full story on the Shelter’s Instagram page.
Great work!
