VIENNA, Va. — The popular “Taste of Vienna” is back for its 13th year this weekend in the Town of Vienna, and it will feature some new local favorite eateries.

This year’s event, set for Saturday, April 25 at the Vienna Volunteer Fire Department (VVFD), will feature nearly a dozen local food trucks and more than 30 Vienna-based and area restaurants.

Anthony and Lauren Stancampiano are organizing the event, which has become a staple of the Vienna spring food scene.

It’s the first event of the year that you can see your neighbors and catch up and mingle,” said Anthony Stancampiano, who is a VVFD Life Member and event organizer. “There’s everything from pizza and ice cream… Asian food, bakeries, hot dogs, Mediterranean, and sushi.”

The family-friendly event features plenty of food, games and events for kids, live music, beverages from local breweries and wineries for adults, and much more. New vendors at Taste of Vienna this year include Texas Donuts, a Northern Virginia donut chain that opened its Vienna store in late 2025.

Taste of Vienna is more than just a fun afternoon with fried food and sweet treats. It's also a major fundraiser for the Vienna Volunteer Fire Department (VVFD). On average, the department runs more than 2,000 calls per year, mostly emergency medical response, Anthony said. Although the department receives some outside funding, events like the Taste of Vienna and their bingo nights are critical to keeping VVFD open and the trucks running.

"A fire truck now is roughly $1.2-$1.4 million, that’s what we purchase them for, so we really rely on doing fundraisers and support from our community,” said Lauren Stancampiano, who serves as Chair of the Taste of Vienna Committee.

There is a Taste of Arlington and Taste of D.C., but we realized there wasn’t a Taste of Vienna,” Anthony told us. “So, we wanted to offer a place at the firehouse where we could have it as a fundraiser for us, but also showcase all the restaurants in Vienna that wanted to participate.”

Both firefighters and foodies alike can try their luck in a unique competition.

Once again this year, Carnegie Diner is hosting its 2nd Annual 24-Layer Cake Eating Contest. The winner will receive a $1,000 gift card to the diner, plus other prizes. Sign-ups to enter the contest have closed, but guests are encouraged to check out this one-of-a-kind challenge.

Whether you're stopping by for a bite to eat or just to support a good cause, the Stancampianos say there is a little something for everyone.

"You can get a drink, walk down the rows and choose something to eat, bring it back, sit down, and catch up with your neighbors,” Anthony said.
